Acceptable use

Policy

This policy sets clear boundaries on how our systems, hosting, and services may be used, including prohibited activities and consequences of misuse.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs how our websites, hosting, systems, and digital services are used. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with this Policy, all applicable laws, and any requirements imposed by our hosting and infrastructure providers.

Permitted Use

Our services may only be used for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others, compromise security, or disrupt service availability.

Prohibited Use

You must not use our services to:

  • Engage in illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activity
  • Host, distribute, or execute malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or malicious code
  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited communications, or operate phishing or scam campaigns
  • Infringe intellectual property rights, including copyright or trademarks
  • Publish or distribute unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, or hateful content
  • Attempt unauthorised access to systems, servers, networks, or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the performance, stability, or security of services
  • Use excessive server resources in a way that degrades service for others
  • Operate services designed to impersonate individuals, businesses, or brands
  • Bypass, disable, or interfere with security, monitoring, or usage limits

Hosting & Infrastructure Compliance

Our services rely on third-party hosting and infrastructure providers. Use of our services must comply with all applicable acceptable use policies, technical limitations, and security requirements imposed by those providers.

Any activity that places us in breach of our upstream provider obligations may result in immediate suspension or termination of services without notice.

Hosting Security (Baseline)

Websites hosted through our services benefit from baseline, platform-level security measures provided by our hosting and infrastructure providers. These protections are designed to support general stability and security of the hosting environment and apply automatically as part of the hosting service.

Excluded Security Measures

The following are not included in standard hosting services unless explicitly agreed to in writing or covered under a Maintenance or Insurance subscription:

  • Advanced firewall, CDN, or traffic filtering services
  • Third-party security services or premium security plugins
  • Paid server-side security upgrades or add-ons
  • Active malware scanning, cleanup, or threat remediation
  • Ongoing security monitoring beyond baseline hosting protections

Additional security measures must be purchased separately or provided under an active Maintenance or Insurance plan.

Maintenance, Security & Updates

Website updates, security patching, plugin and theme management, preventative maintenance, and server-side updates are not provided by default unless the client is actively subscribed to a Maintenance or Insurance plan or has engaged us under a separate paid agreement.

Without an active plan, we do not monitor, update, patch, harden, or secure website software and accept no responsibility for issues arising from outdated, vulnerable, or misconfigured websites.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are solely responsible for:

  • All content, data, applications, plugins, themes, and custom code hosted using our services
  • Maintaining website-level security where no Maintenance or Insurance plan is in place
  • Vulnerabilities introduced through third-party software or client-initiated changes
  • Approving and funding additional security measures where required
  • Any security, recovery, or remediation work requested outside a subscription will be quoted and charged as a separate service.

Security & Access

Clients are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for all activity conducted under their accounts. Suspected security incidents or unauthorised access must be reported promptly.

Incident Response

In the event of a security incident:

  • Platform-level issues will be addressed by the hosting provider
  • Website-level issues require an active Maintenance or Insurance plan or a separate paid engagement

We reserve the right to suspend compromised websites where necessary to protect infrastructure integrity, hosting partners, or other clients.

Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion and without notice:

  • Suspend or terminate access to services
  • Remove or disable access to content
  • Restrict system access
  • Terminate agreements for serious or repeated breaches

Where required, we may cooperate with hosting providers, regulators, or law enforcement.

No Guarantee

While baseline hosting security and optional security services significantly reduce risk, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and uninterrupted or breach-free operation is not warranted.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
